Alam Polo is a coaching club run by sisters Amal and Natasha Alamuddin, built so Muslim girls can learn a fierce sport without giving up modesty, safety, or joy.

The Alam sisters

Two sisters, one very stubborn idea

Amal and Natasha grew up between Beirut and Birmingham, loving a sport that never quite made room for them. Sessions were mixed, kit was thin, and the pool was rarely theirs. So they built the club they wished they'd had at eleven.

Today Alam Polo coaches beginners who can't yet swim a length, and squad players who have started winning matches — all in water where they feel entirely themselves.
